Seniors' Last First Day of School Activities

8/23/2022 4:00 pm

Thursday, September 1st - Car Decorating Contest and Senior Class Picture (raindate 9/2)

  • 8:15 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. – Senior decorated cars must park on the front lawn and will remain on the front lawn throughout the day. Seniors will be advised to be cautious, not hang out of windows or sunroofs, and to take their time to park safely. SC2023 parent volunteers and photographers will be directing students and taking pictures. Senior non-decorated cars can park in the lot on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • 8:45 a.m. – All seniors assemble on the football field for the official Senior Class group picture. Class t-shirts will be handed out by the field. In case of rain, the class picture will be taken in the main gym.

  • 9:10 a.m. – Seniors report to the gym, where they will be given their class schedule, the parking space winner will be announced, and the three car decorating contest winners will be awarded. All seniors are instrumental in ensuring a smooth opening of school by their words and example.

Student Behavior

We expect all students to be respectful, using proper language and behavior on school property. Any student exhibiting improper behavior will be disqualified from all contests (parking space raffle and car decorating contests).

Judging and Prizes

The top three cars will be chosen by Junior Class Parent volunteers. The top three cars will receive the following Millburn Deli gift card prizes: 1st place $75, 2nd place $60, 3rd place $50.

Class of 2023 Car Decorating Contest Rules

All cars should be decorated with respectful images and phrases. Any car displaying improper statements, images, or other signs will be disqualified from the decorating contest, reported to Dr. Miron and Mrs. Siegel, and may be asked to remove the car from the lawn. This is a Millburn High School tradition, and we ask that all of our talented artists please follow these rules.

Please email seniorcelebration@mhspto.net if there are any questions about the appropriateness of car décor.
